Would you walk into a shop to buy your local paper for 30p and offer them 10p for it? Would you then offer to have half the paper at that price? Would you walk into a takeaway, order exactly what you wanted, and then tell them you will have all the food you ordered but only pay for some of it.
NO of course you wouldn’t, so why do people think they can do this in our industry to us SEO experts. NO I will not build you a website for free so I can get a link, NO I wont spent my private time optimising your website. Also no matter how long you talk to me over the phone I am not going to give you free SEO advice just because you called me, if I called my solicitor would he give me free advice…errr NO?!?!?
And my all time favourite…… “It cant be that hard, surely it will only take you 10 minutes”
WTF if it only takes 10 minutes then DO IT YOUSELF…oh no you cant you are swamped with work oh and you don’t actually know how to…..so in that case how do you know it will only take 10 minutes hahahaha.
Sorry I’m back off my soap box now but these type of people drive me mad….cheap sake tight arsed freebie seekers who want every thing for free.
Be aware of what you require , set a realistic budget (take noe of the word realistic) and spend it….don’t “do me a deal”!
